ResponderExcluirLook at back picture from the cd
There are this comment:
"In Answer to the inferior records sold Illegaly: This
is The Official Ten Years After Bootleg"
Now i buy this cd, i never had the vinyl,so, i put the information that back picture contains
But, does not matter, the important its is a fuckind disk
Kisses
Hey buddy, No I know it says that. It's on the original vinyl too.
ResponderExcluirWhat they did back then in many instances is putout a live recording as a stop gap between studio albums to bide time.
They would issue it legit then print "no overdubs, authorized bootleg" (or something to that effect).
It's a cheap way of releasing a live album with no overdubbing costs.
Aerosmith did it,Van Morrison did it etc.
If it came out authorized by the band on a major label (Columbia) It's not a bootleg.
BTW, hope you're feeling better :D
ResponderExcluirTYA- one of the best rock group in history. Many thanks for remaster...
ResponderExcluirEric
ResponderExcluirYou know, you are a fantastic friend
I like share ideas with you
You are always Welcome to my blogger
KIsses
Why thank you Putaveia, I / we feel the same toward you.
ResponderExcluirI enjoy talking music, I don't mean my comment as a criticism.
It's just what I know.
Now that I think of it Jeff Beck another Columbia/Epic(although now on Atco)artist issued his "Authorized Bootleg" live album too a few years back.
Must be a Columbia Records marketing ploy, TYA,Aerosmith,Jeff Beck = all on Columbia, all issued Authorized Bootleg live albums.
Talk later :D

ResponderExcluirTen Years After é foda mano. Alvin Lee é chapação pura. Long Live Rock`N´Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"This album is a truthful recording of Ten Years After with no overdubs or additives"
ResponderExcluir"songs have been "re-recorded" in german, polish and arabic for release in foreign countries."
So that's a contradiction statement.
Being they re-recorded the vocals (I guess)in those mentioned languages.
Also Frank Zappa did the "authorized live bootleg" in response to inferior bootlegs with his "The Mothers - Fillmore 1970" release.
I think the way you labeled it is best "Authorized Bootleg" :D

Porra PV... Você chegou a ver o filme de Woodstock no cinema?? Você é véia pra cacete viu!!
ResponderExcluirNaquela época eu não era nem um esboço de um espermatozóide preso em um saco...
I just noticed the tracklisting on the rear cover art of the cd.
ResponderExcluirDid they cutout Ric Lee's drum solo "Hobbit" from the orig. vinyl?
(Maybe for space purposes)
It was on Side 1 Track 4 on the orig. double vinyl album.
To Eric
ResponderExcluir"songs have been "re-recorded" in german, polish and arabic for release in foreign countries."
The citation in my previous post is from Wikipedia English.
Please visit the appropriate article.
I think "re-recorded" means that the record later marketed in Germany, Poland, etc.
Do you think Alvin Lee can sing any Arabic languages or Polish?
On the other hand the "Hobbit" song is not included in all CD editions. It depends on the publisher.
I have the original LP rip version in 24 bit FLAC format incuding "Hobbit".
Cheers to you! Andy
