    1. I've checked on discogs and the tracks included in Volume 9 of the 20 CD set are true to the original Edsel release Rubble Volume 9 "Plastic Wilderness" Album LP issued on vinyl in 1991. The 20 CD Set reflects 20 of the original vinyl albums in the series. 17 of which were released on Edsel and the final 3 released by Past & Present unofficially.

Just to make matters confusing Edsel released 2 versions of Volume 9 of the Vinyl LP , one of them involving tracks from more contemporary Psych/ Garage bands. The volume 9 represented in the 20 CD set is the original 60's band version of volume 9.

Now even though Edsel were having financial problems in 1992 they did manage to re-release the Rubble series on CD as the 'Rubble Collection'. However they did not remain true to the original track listings. This is volume 9 of that subsequent CD series and has tracks from numerous of the original Vinyl series on it. For example track one by Jason Crest on this CD is actually track 8 on Volume 15 of the original vinyl series '5000 Seconds Over Toyland' and can be found on CD 15 as track 8 of the 20 CD Set.

its a bit strange but I guess the 'Rubble Collection' CD set was a last gamble by the guys at Edsel to stay afloat which sadly they failed to do. Pity because they released some fabulous albums.

I must check one day to see if all the tracks on the Rubble collection CD set are included in the original Vinyl series and vice versa.
