Budgie-Bandolier 1975- Remastered Plus 4 Bonus Tracks -FLAC

Beijos

Now the Raw Material of Adamus67
Our Specialist from Poland
he band was founded in 1967 in Cardiff, her first composition comprised bassist / vocalist Shelley Burke, guitarist Brian Goddard, and drummer Ray Phillips (in the future configuration underwent many changes, the only constant member over the years was Shelley). The main inspirations were the likes of bands especially The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, but by the end of the decade to burgeoning artists fascinated then hard rock. In 1970, the musicians managed to get the publishing contract with label MCA, glorifying the five discs. That same year the band went to Rockfield Studios with producer Rodger Bain, who worked previously with the group Black Sabbath. The work was finished before the end of the year, but went only to the sale in June 1971 and was titled simply "Budgie". The album contains music still very rooted in the blues. Both the debut album and released a year later his successor, "Squawk" despite a very favorable reviews in the press, the group did not confer greater publicity. The breakthrough came in 1972 when he appeared on the market the band third album, entitled "Never Turn Your Back on a Friend". Kit not only for today regarded as the crowning achievement of the Welsh band, but also commonly referred to as one of the most influential albums in the history of hard rock. On board were two iconic compositions of the directory group - "Breadfan" (years later she recorded her cover of Metallica) and almost epic, 11-minute "Parents" (written by bass player even before the foundation of the formation). With the subsequent formation of two albums, "In For The Kill" and "Bandolier" it's also quite successful commercially. The first of these disputes was hit with "Crash Course In Brain Surgery", while the second, in the UK has been certified gold - for him and the team came close in sound to something that soon evolved into heavy metal. "Bandolier" the most loyal fans is defined as the last great work of the Welsh. The next albums recorded by the group in the 70s "If I Were Brittania I'd Waive the Rules", "Impeckable" and "Power Supply" not only met with much less favorable reviews, but sold at a much lower level. At the end of the decade changed the image group stage - first of all there are leather jackets, musicians were also clearly inspired by bands from the sign of a new wave of British heavy metal
At the beginning of the next decade, the band appeared as a star at the British Festival of Reading, took a tour alongside Ozzy Osbourne, as well as the first team in history (even then) played heavy metal tour behind the Iron Curtain, namely in Poland (given in country's 16 concerts). - We were surprised by our knowledge of the material, especially this years ago - told the vocalist in the same year during a press conference in Warsaw. - People have asked us to carry out specific works, which, unfortunately, are not prepared. Also in 1982 appeared as the future showed the latest in the twentieth century album, titled "Deliver Us From Evil". Kit, however, was a commercial failure. For the next few years the group continued its activity (in the constantly changing configurations), but focused solely on appearances. Finally, in 1988, Burke made a decision about its dissolution.
But Shelley I missed the end of the previous century, when the decided to dust off the old sign. Initially the band had only planned concerts, but in 2004 the band began work on her eleventh studio album. The album titled "You're All Living In Cuckooland" was finished in 2006 and went on store shelves in November the same year. Four years later, the band once again had to play a full tour of our country, but shortly after arriving in Polish Shelley became ill and was hospitalized. In music diagnosed with an aneurysm, which is why it was necessary to the operation (all shows canceled), which was carried out in Wejherowo. - Now I'm home and I go back to health - said in a statement. - I can not even tell what the future holds. I would like to thank everyone who supported me, especially the Polish surgeons.
In 1975 he released the album _Bandolier_, which is the fifth disc in the acquis of the Welsh and the album is counted against the classic disc Budgie. On this album drummer Steve Williams replaced the boat. Now the album is available in the new, remastered version contains some fantastic numbers, like Napoleon Bona Part Brealing All The House Rules and I Can not See My Feelings (remade years later by Iron Maiden). Remastered, the UK edition includes a very nice bonuses, including Honey singles (from 1975), played live on BBC TV Who Do You Want For Love (1975) and two pieces of the 1980 concert.
Budgie - Bandolier (1975)
'Breaking All The House Rules'
Hard - rock. Group seems to be very ripped, everything fits together. The guitar sounds aggressively. Of course, as usual, good riffs. Melodic line is outstanding. Burke spits out the syllables. After the second verse even more interesting guitar riff against which Burke improvising vocally. Places very hysterically screaming. Curiously muted guitar solo. Spectacular ending. Song of the recovery of their own opinion and outlook on life.
'Slipaway'
Acoustic cutscene. In addition to bass guitar and drums enter. Arpeggio interesting. Burke sings very original. Nice guitar solo. Listen to how the group gets into Latin rhythms.
'Who Do You Want For Your Love'
At first, a little funky, but in the end rock. Burke shows yet another face as a vocalist. Lots of acoustic effects such as reverb. The song about the passing of time, life, love, everything. Super.
'I Can not See My Feelings'
Theme, which you can remember for a lifetime. The initial guitar riff complemented acoustic guitar chords. Extremely interesting work, without much noise, even a little funky. A lot is happening. Listen.
'I Is not No Mountain'
Rock of any characteristic hit. Why was not it? Well, the grace of the market on horseback rides motley. Riff, melody, dynamics, and nothing too much. Even the apparent lack of melody in the sung text is attractive. Text to reject someone who does not fit into a certain system of values. Do not bounce, because you will learn who you are.
'Napoleon Bona Parts 1 & 2'
Favorite concert. Introduction lyrical, acoustic, making a calming mood. You can hear the phrase slide guitar, the pace slightly grows and suddenly, after two and a half minutes the song explodes just trampling, that is, in short, we achieve dynamic rushing locomotive. Great guitar solo. And so to the end. Strong, sharp. The man is convinced of the rightness of their chosen route, although it has sometimes doubts and dilemmas. Modeled on the strength of Napoleon, who never went down the chosen path and dopiął not his. It does not seem to make it but a search pattern.
'Honey'
Page B-side I Is not No Mountain. Quiet acoustic ballad on vocals and two guitar tracks. No drums. One of the rare recordings of Budgie. Can not find it on compilations. The text of the ecstasies of love and promised his beautiful partner.
'Beautiful Lies'
Slow, quiet song, however fine and well that it was removed from the album. A simple pop song.
Zero goodies, pure play, pure emotion. Respect for self, respect for the Fans, the respect for someone with whom they played. This was and is a Budgie

  3. Oh man, this is my Achilles heel, I'm a fan of Budge for many years, in my country are the 'gurus of hard rock', here many fans...most cast in the world ... this band Budgie, which did not need to specifically represent Polish fans, this Welsh team is in our country a large group of fans and this is one of the best formation of the classical period of hard rock. The team has been running since 1968, and its founders were Burke Shelley, Tony Bourge and Ray Phillips.

  10. Great upload, many thanks!

Two little mistakes in file names and mp3 tags though:
    - name of the second song is Slipaway and not Subway
    - tracks 6 and 7 are not Napoleon Bona-parts 1 & 2 .... but: track 6 is Napoleon Bona-part 1 & 2 and track 7 is a song Honey

This CD also contains a video file of Who do you want for love? live performance .. do you have this?
