O Yezda Urfa já foi apresentado por aqui, mas para quem não se lembra, esta foi uma das melhores e mais refinadas bandas progressivas dos Estados Unidos, que mesmo tendo produzido dois álbuns de estúdio altamente criativos e originais, jamais obteve qualquer oportunidade de ter o suceso que merecia. Boris, o primeiro álbum, foi lançado em 1975 e às custas dos próprios integrantes da banda e teve somente 300 cópias prensadas, muitas das quais foram enviadas a diversas gravadoras na esperança de obter alguma resposta positiva, o que nunca aconteceu. O segundo álbum, Sacred Baboon, gravado em 1976, continha algumas faixas aperfeiçoadas do álbum anterior e outras inéditas e quase foi lançado pela Dhama Records, porém a gravadora mudou de planos de última hora e o álbum só foi lançado em 1989 pela Syn-Phonic Records. A banda permaneceu fazendo shows até 1981, quando se dissolveu.

Após mais de 20 anos sem tocar, o Yezda Urfa se apresentou na edição de 2004 do NEARfest, tradicional festival de rock progressivo. A ideia de se reunir surgiu quando o baixista Marc Miller recebeu um pedido de um fã que havia ido ao NEARfest de 2003, sendo assim Miller tomou a iniciativa de contactar a organização do evento e de reunir os integrantes da formação original. Somente dois integrantes originais não puderam participar, sendo o tecladista Phil Kimbrough e o vocalista Rick Rodenbaugh, respectivamente substituídos por Mike Barry e Ron Platt. A banda também ganhou um integrante extra, Logan Tippins, irmão de Mark da formação original. Com isso, a banda conseguiu tocar um show espetacular de aproximadamente 50 minutos de duração que foi felizmente gravado e é provavelmente o único registro ao vivo do Yezda Urfa a existir.

Yezda Urfa was already presented here, but who doesn't remember, this was one of the greatest and finest progressive bands ever from the United States, which even producing two highly-crafted and original studio albums, they have never found any opportunity to be as successful as they deserved. Boris, their debut album, was released in 1975 at the band members' expenses and had just 300 copies pressed, much of which were sent to many record labels hoping to get a positive answer, what in fact never happened. The second album, Sacred Baboon, recorded in 1976, featured some reworked tracks from the previous album and other inedit ones and was almost released by one Dhama Records, however the record label changed their plans at the very last time and the album release was postponed to 1989 when Syn-Phonic Records showed some interest in releasing it. The band remained active until 1981 when they disbanded.

After more than 20 years without playing, Yezda Urfa took part of NEARfest 2004 edition, traditional festival of progressive rock. The idea of rebanding came up when the bassist Marc Miller was asked to do so by a fan who attended NEARfest 2003, thus Miller began the task of contacting the event staff and regather the original line-up members. Only two of the original members couldn't attend it, as being keyboardist Phil Kimbrough and vocalist Rick Rodenbaugh, respectively replaced by Mike Barry and Ron Platt. The band also welcomed an extra member, Logan Tippins, Mark's brother from the original line-up. After all of this, the band delivered a spetacular performance of approximately 50 minutes which was fortunatly documented and it is probably the only existent live recording of Yezda Urfa.
