Kaleidoscope - same (1969, Mex, Psych, La Ciruela vinyl rip, single flac + cue, log, DR, artwork)

No relation to bands of the same name from California or from England, this album recorded in Mexico. Contains mind frying fuzz guitars, electronic psychedelic effects, swirling keyboards and drugged lyrics/vocals in English. The original members came from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Spain.Their sole album is an incredible mind expander from the late '60s.

I really liked this album. Taking their cue from Manzarek's organ, this album shows some great fuzz guitar and good lyrics, done in a strained, almost painful manner, especially on "Once Upon a Time There Was a World." This song also has one of the best organ/guitar solos. The track "Colours" almost sounds like an acid trip gone bad with some weird spacey sound effects. "Let Me Try" and "P.S. Come Back" are also very good, as is with most tracks on this album. Strongly recommended for anyone of the psych/garage genre.

  1. Great. I was just passing by, and saw this album in lossless format; and started DL'ing leaving everything else for some other time. A great album, even better than the better-known US & UK Kaleidoscopes... Thanks for your efforts & sharing. Keep up the good work
