Tempos atrás eu postei o Ricochet do Tangerine Dream, agora eu venho hoje com o Rubycon, lançado também em 1975, porém alguns meses antes e totalmente gravado em estúdio. O Rubycon foi o álbum com o qual o Tangerine Dream conseguiu o 10º lugar nas paradas inglesas, a melhor colocação da história do grupo.

O Rubycon seguia a fórmula do Phaedra, o primeiro álbum da banda a ter credibilidade internacional, com a utilização de seqüenciadores de som, algo que também foi inovador na própria Escola de Berlim de música eletrônica.

O álbum consiste em duas longas seqüências de improvisos que duram aproximadamente 17 minutos cada uma. Uma verdadeira viagem que deve ser apreciada por todos os fãs do gênero progressivo.

A long time ago I posted Tangerine Dream's Ricochet, now I have for you today the Rubycon, also released back in 1975, although some months before and entirely recorded in studio. Rubycon was the album with which Tangerine Dream reached the 10th place in British charts, their best position ever in their history.

Rubycon also followed the formula used in Phaedra, their first album to give them international acclaimaint by using sequencer-based sounds, something also revolutionary inside the Berlim School of electronic music.

The album consists in two long improvisation sequences which approximately last about 17 minutes each. A great trip which should be praised by all the progressive genre fans.
