Acqua Fragile: Acqua Fragile (1973) {1991 Reissue} [FLAC]

ENGLISH:
Hello freaks,

During these last days that I'd been away, I travelled to São Paulo to take part of an event of my area, and because of this I also had the opportunity to meet some of Progvacas folks to watch Violeta de Outono and O Terço's Sérgio Hinds live at Vergueiro Cultural Centre. It was amusing.

But let's get it straight to the point. Today I brought Acqua Fragile's first studio album, an Italian band from Parma whose sound would remind you some of Genesis and Gentle Giant and which only put out two albums. Acqua Fragile is generally a little recognized because their vocalist Bernardo Lanzetti joined Premiata Forneria Marconi shortly later.

But, anyway, enjoy this great band.

  1. Their first album was released in 1973 on the independent label, Numero Uno, one of the very few Italian prog albums Entirely sung in English. A good album with nice west-coast multivocal influences mixed with an English prog sound, Especially inspired by the likes of Genesis and Gentle Giant.
and the home PFM or BANCO DEL MUTUO Soccorso. It is interesting singer. It's Peter Gabriel. Well ... not quite original, but the illusion resembling a prototype ... Tone of voice almost identical to that already gained a few people that are missing the Genesis record of 1971 ... The first track (as if taken directly from Foxtrot), perhaps the most relates to the work of Genesis. The whole is kept in a similar fashion, perhaps seasoned with fragments of Gentle Giant - certainly not a muse for the likes neoprogresu, but enthusiasts will love the old sounds ...
The LP included seven tracks long, with good instrumental parts and the nice original harsh voice of Lanzetti, not far from Family's singer Roger Chapman distinctive tremolo technique.

micose....Thanks for another good memories of the Land of macaroni

  2. Sweet album, I'm already familiar with it and I like it a lot. Prog fans and especially fans of "Nursery Cryme", "Foxtrot" -era Genesis, take heed! There's an historical connection with PFM; the vocalist here, Franco Lanzetti, went on to become PFM's lead vocalist, and this album was released on PFM's own label.

  3. I just gave both of the Acqua Fragile albums a fresh listen. They sound great! I think Adam's recognition of "west-coast multivocal influences" is apt...I have heard hints of CSN/CSNY in this regard in these albums.
