Mais uma vez estamos aqui explorando os limites do rock e até onde esse gênero musical dá quando ele se mistura com outros estilos, neste caso com o fusion, o funk, o soul e rítmos tribais. Então hoje nós lhe apresentamos o Osibisa, uma banda formada em Londres em 1969 por músicos extremamente talentosos - destaque para a percussão fantástica - cujas origens são de países africanos e caribenhos.

Este álbum duplo contém os dois primeiros trabalhos da banda, originalmente lançados separadamente e ambos em 1971, sendo o 'Osibisa' o primeiro a ser lançado. Desnecessário dizer que as capas fantásticas desses álbuns foram feitas pelo mestre visual Roger Dean pelas paisagens surreais e animais esquisitos.

Hello freaks,

Once again we're exploring the limits of rock and how far this musical genre goes when it is blended with other styles, in this case with fusion, funk, soul and tribal rhythms. So today we introduce to you Osibisa, a band formed in London in 1969 by extremely highly-gifted musicians - one of the highlights is their amazing percussion - whose origins are from African and Caribbean countries.

This double album contains the band's two first studio works, originally released separately and both in 1971, as being 'Osibisa' the first one to be issued. Needless to say that these fantastic album sleevs were made by visual master Roger Dean by the surreal landscapes and weird animals.
