The 2008 CD edition I own—which includes three extra tracks—has a DR9 rating; it belongs in the toilet, right alongside almost everything else released from 1997 onwards...

Sound compression—which serves to stupefy everyone, but especially those listening through headphones—is an integral part of a plan for enslavement that is now nearing its completion.

In this particular instance, they didn’t go overboard, but there are millions of products out there—so harmful to your ears, and by extension your brain, that only a deaf person could fail to notice the damage they cause

A friend of mine once used the perfect term to describe what happens when you listen to this crap: your ears start to bleed!!!

As I’ve always maintained, the garage rock scene of the eighties is every bit as good as that of the sixties—in fact, there are albums from that era that surpass almost everything fawned over by those senile, dim-witted music critics!

This is one such record, along with the mini-LP by The Unclaimed (https://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/2017/10/the-unclaimed-unclaimed-as-knew-as.html), *Something Weird* by The Stomach Mouths (https://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/2019/09/the-stomach-mouths-something-weird-1986.html), and *Things That Matter* by The Wylde Mammoths (https://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/2018/01/the-wylde-mammoths-things-that-matter.html).

Furthermore, there are other immortal albums—even if they consist almost entirely of covers—that were selected and performed with an unrivaled level of skill, namely:

*Frustration* by Plan 9 (https://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/2019/09/plan-9-frustration-1982-us-alternative.html)

*Here Are The Chesterfield Kings* (https://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/2019/02/the-chesterfield-kings-here-are.html) and *Stop!* (https://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/2019/03/the-chesterfield-king-stop-1985-us.html) by The Chesterfield Kings

*Lysergic Emanations* by The Fuzztones

I love eighties garage rock just as much as I love Oz rock and the disco/funk of 1975–1978. These genres run through my veins—they, along with my cats, have saved my life.

Of course, I also deeply cherish other records—especially progressive rock, as well as the work of Peter Green, Steve Winwood, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Them, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis,  and The Beatles’ singles and many others—but I consider the aforementioned musical genres to be the purest and most innocent of all.

I know full well that my comments about file compression will annoy a lot of people, but I couldn’t give a flying fuck.

The more pissed off they get, the more it proves I’m right!

Enjoy!!!!!!
