Hair (3) – Piece – 1970 - Denmark - Psychedelic Rock, Prog Rock - vinyl - 16-48 - alac - Pip And Pop - P&P 001 – Unknown year of release

DR12

A virtually unknown progressive little masterpiece.

I love records from the "provinces" of rock; they always have that something different from the products made in the US and UK!

The 2004 CD found online is absolutely awful, overly compressed...

Enjoy!

    3. Hi rawkin' dog, No it he doesn't have a blog...just contributed a list that I am working on getting all and ripping. So you are using USB signal to record? I use preamp into soundcard with RCA red/white to single black wire I got from Best Buy. BTW, I wanted to use your NOMAD's rip for my post but files were MPEG4 which looked different than the other MP3's for rest of post so wanted to make it uniform. Somehow the MPEG4 didn't sound as 'deep' as MP3's from CD rip at UA blog...like a cheapened MP3? I don't know the difference but your rip did sound better just diminished somehow--maybe it was all in my mind! Needless to say, you have posted the best out there with great sound that I have never had issue with in the past. Good that you got familiar enough with Audacity to take out pops...I use my old MAGIX/sound forge for that as I have always done as very quick for me to do. I think I am finally O.K. with my current rig using those but in my heart I know when I recorded with MAGIX pre-two years ago using software boost lever at 0.8-1.2 AS I RECORD that it brought out the quiet sounds better perhaps but the bass could be booming at times which is not the case now. Onward I go! It's the hard drives that are problematic for storage. Two weeks ago all my blog downloads for 2 years into one folder disappeared entirely from that folder! Thus I am using the laptop which I record CD's on only (and move files) to fix the files and I was as 3000 files found when my screen went black....but it is still finding the files (very slow maybe a 1000 a week) so I will let it continue for months until I feel that the drive is not running. Then I will have to get new laptop which will be totally not made for simple tasks and taken over by puny tech shit!

    4. Thank you! As for the conversion, you can also do it with Foobar or Magix/Soundforge.
I wrote a load of nonsense. I clean up the background noise with Soundforge at -12 dB. I sometimes use Audacity with the Tascam card, but I can't get it to work properly. Older products, in any filthy field, are better. In fact, my DAC/mixer is at least 15 years old, maybe 20, and it was made by expert friends, not by idiots...
