This wonderful live double LP is the consecration of the first period of the band, that of the first 2 albums, the first of the same name (https://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/2019/03/quicksilver-messenger-service.html) and the second Happy Trails (https://bordeldorock.blogspot.com/2019/03/quicksilver-messenger-service.html), while then the band changed their sound making it much less psychedelic but always of an exceptional caliber.
This album. except track D2 was released on CD in 1999 as CD1 of The Unreleased Quicksilver Messenger Service: Lost Gold And Silver and also the applauses and voices of the components are missing, which is very serious as at the end of Who Do You Love, they cut when John says he needs a guitars because the strings exploded, exciting!
An album that cannot be missing in a music collection!
Enjoy!

ExcluirMany thanks rawkin' dog. They were a great live band back then.
ResponderExcluirI'm happy
ExcluirI have this album already and I bought it at the shop in Margate where the label was based back in the 1980s. Let me reciprocate your generosity (on prior posts)

IMHO the 1st album is the best, followed by this Psycho release. Happy Trails is excellent but who listens to a bass/drum solo twice. Then it's a slow decline although Just For Love has nice moments albeit it might as well be a different band.
Thanks for all posts
Also for me the first is the best, then already with Shady Grove the sound has changed, but I like them a lot the same, except maybe for Solid Silver, which I haven't listened to for a lifetime. Thanks for the links I'm already downloading!
