Sea Son was the second of four albums produced by Secret Oyster, one of the greatest Danish progressive groups, and is considered by most fans as their best work. Secret Oyster were surely pair quality wise in comparison to bands such as Mahavishnu Orchestra or Soft Machine, even if their style was similar to these bands, although more accessible and less sobering.

This album is nothing less than a underrated and forgotten jazz-fusion, which surely deserves to be entirely and carefully listened.

  2. Nice post! I'm familiar with this one and like it a lot!

I also love the phrase "Secret Oyster" as a band name -- very cryptic, does anyone know where the band name came from????????????

  3. Dan, I think that I read something about the band name in one of the album booklets. If you check them out, maybe you'll find it out.
