Brave New World: Impressions On Reading Aldous Huxley (1972) {2009 Reissue} [FLAC]

Hello freaks,

Here's another freaking amazing and obscure krautrock band who managed to release just one album. Their only album was a musical interpretation of English writer Aldous Huxley's work. Besides the band borrowed the name Brave New World from one of his books.

This short-lived band from Hamburg managed to blend with maestry many kinds of musical styles, such as folk and psychedelic rock, for example, plus the addition of electronic effects in order to create a more emphatic atmosphere.

Anyway, a very original album and highly recommended for any prog freak.

  3. This band emerged from Hamburg and lasted only a few years. It included a mixture of local musicians and two "foreigners". The German musicians were Firchow Reinhart (recorders, flutes, Ocarina, Stylophone, percussion, vocals), Lucas Lindholm (bass, bass fiddle, body, piano), Dicky Tarrach (drums, percussion), Herb Geller (flutes, cor anglais, alto / soprano / tenor saxes, organ), the Irishman John O'Brien-Docker (guitars, body percussion, vocals, wind chimes) and Esther Daniels (vocals). As you can tell from the name of the band and one album title, Their coming together was to make instrumental Their Interpretation of Aldous Huxley's novel - A Brave New World. Being an almost Entirely instrumental band (apart from some occasional voices) They created a unique sound Which bridge together successfully combined different styles dry as folk, psychedelic rock and electronics. Their use of wind instruments (Woodwinds), Peculiar patterns percussion, flute, and a stylopohone Saxophones Their music gives a special sound otherworldly.
Very good, only ephemeral album, inspired by the cult of German formations (especially in hippie circles) and a book proposing a material combining psychedelia instrumental, ethnic music, early electronics and even elements of jazz. The result is a genuinely compelling and very 'atmospheric' music reminiscent of the time to make some groups of Italian, but above all, a typical German krautrock. Sometimes hear little crackles of vinyl, but the sound is very clean and spacious.
An essential album for the krautrock collector.
    Digipak. I recommend!

Adamus, I didn't know that this CD was made after a vinyl ripping... Understandable because even some unlucky famous bands often lose their master tapes...
    Best regards.
