O Guru Guru, apesar de ter mudado totalmente seu estilo musical ao longo dos anos, é merecidamente considerado como uma das maiores bandas do rock alemão. Tendo começado com um som ácido experimental e bastante psicodélico - o que caracterizou os primórdios do krautrock - a banda, sempre liderada pelo baterista Mani Neumeier, foi aos poucos aderindo a um rock progressivo mais acessível até chegar a um jazz-fusion de primeira no fim dos anos 70. Este bootleg raríssimo mostra a banda fazendo um mega show pouco antes de lançar o álbum 'Hey Du' - com algumas músicas do mesmo incluídas no repertório - e com a presença de dois ilustres integrantes do Kraan: o baixista Hellmut Hattler e o tecladista Ingo Bischof. A qualidade sonora é quase perfeita considerando a raridade desse material. Totalmente imperdível.

Guru Guru, in despite of having completely change their musical style throughout the years, is deservedly considered as probably the greatest German rock band. Starting out as an experimental and psychedelic heavy acid rock band - what characterized the earliest stages of krautrock - the band, always led by drummer Mani Neumeier, had gradually switching over into a more accessible progressive rock until crossing the borders of a top-grade jazz-fusion at the end of the 70s. This rare bootleg shows the band delivering a mega performance shortly before the release of 'Hey Du' album - which some of whose tracks were included in the setlist - and the presence of two illustrious Kraan members: bassist Hellmut Hattler and keyboard player Ingo Bischof. The sound quality is nearly perfect considering the rarity of this stuff. This is really never to be missed.
